Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patients
• Manage a diverse patient caseload including diagnoses such as stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, sepsis, acute kidney failure, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, and post-heart cath patients
• Perform and support specialized procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Maintain a strong commitment to patient experience standards throughout all aspects of care delivery
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies
• Complete required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible (night shift, Adult Medical Tele); travelers between 50–99.9 miles may be subject to a reduced bill rate; travelers under 50 miles are ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Omnicell medication dispensing systems
• Prior experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological patient care
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis or continuous bladder irrigation
