Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Utilize the Omnicell medication management system for safe medication administration
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
- Float to like units based on skill set and demonstrated competencies as census needs require
- Provide weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis, subject to change based on unit need
- Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid multistate/compact RN license
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty
- Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
- Must not be a first-time traveler
- Must live more than 50 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible; candidates between 50–99.9 miles may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 50 miles are ineligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in both teaching and community hospital settings
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and progressive care workflows
- Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated adaptability to new environments
