Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday–Friday) | On-Call Required (4–6 call shifts per 4-week period; holiday call may be required)
Key Responsibilities
- Circulate general surgery cases including Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, Pancreatic/Biliary, and Bariatrics
- Scrub general OR cases across the same surgical specialties: Surgical Oncology, Colorectal, Pancreatic/Biliary, MIS (DaVinci), Plastics, Endocrine, and Bariatrics
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled, including potential holiday call assignments
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Comply with radiation safety protocols; radiation badge required and will be provided by the agency
- Be prepared to participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November)
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted with 5+ years of experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or multi-state RN license must be in hand at the start of the contract
- BLS certification required – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
- ACLS certification required – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals considered on a case-by-case basis
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; approvals are based on departmental needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, particularly DaVinci systems
- Familiarity with high-acuity surgical oncology and complex abdominal cases
- Prior experience in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system
