Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating culture, age, developmental level, risk factors, and presenting complaint in accordance with RN scope of practice and department policies.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care using all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders and collaboration with Case Management and interdisciplinary team members.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of patient care activities performed by other team members.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members.
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a permanent position prior to travel nursing, with prior travel experience preferred.
• Recent Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred; well-rounded ICU experience across multiple areas is a plus.
• Demonstrated history of contract extensions and minimal breaks in service, reflecting reliability and adaptability in travel assignments.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
