Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in the operating room and across perioperative services for all patient populations
- Implement the intraoperative plan of care, including patient positioning and safety, surgical counts, specimen management, medication administration, and infection prevention
- Serve as patient advocate, protecting patient rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality throughout the continuum of care
- Communicate patient status to relevant care team members and collaborate effectively across disciplines
- Accurately and completely document all nursing care provided
- Participate in on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit on a regularly scheduled basis; agency staff may be floated to other departments where qualified before core staff is floated
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification required
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) at minimum
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain composure in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- CNOR certification or completion of Peri-op 101 course
- Previous RN circulator experience
- Scrub technician experience
