Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Float within a Critical Care Float Pool, providing night-shift nursing coverage across multiple ICU settings based on staffing needs and patient acuity
- Deliver high-acuity patient care across units including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity in accordance with facility float policy
- Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management as part of routine critical care responsibilities
- Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license — compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — required
- Proficiency with EPIC — required
- Demonstrated skills in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience floating across multiple ICU specialties or high-acuity environments
