Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including care for NICU and PICU patient populations
• Deliver and monitor respiratory treatments and interventions in alignment with physician orders and established protocols
• Participate in a self-scheduling model; scheduling accommodations will be made on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed
• Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
• Maintain current RRT certification, BLS, and NRP throughout the duration of the assignment
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules (up to 16 non-billable hours) as required

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the Wednesday prior to start date — candidate must hold an active license in at least one other state to be eligible for a Virginia temporary license
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility; travelers who have reached this threshold are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) credential preferred
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
