Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical judgment in planning and delivering safe, high-quality patient care
- Manage and monitor patients requiring ventilator and tracheostomy care, central line management, and wound care
- Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff, maintaining patient ratios of 1:6
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel involved in patient care delivery
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education and professional development
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado RN license or multi-state compact RN license
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in LTAC or a related specialty
- Demonstrated experience with ventilator/tracheostomy management and knowledge of central lines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Wound care experience in an acute or long-term acute care setting
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an LTAC environment
