Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Administer medications and communicate effectively with all members of the care team
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system (Meditech)
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Maintain a friendly, positive, patient-centered, and team-focused approach to care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Texas or compact license eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
• Ability to manage and care for 4–6 patients simultaneously
• Proficiency with standard nursing equipment and EHR documentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
• Background in orthopedics or neurosurgery nursing
• Med/Surg/Telemetry combined experience
