Contract | Day/Night Rotating, 12-Hour Shifts, Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for medically complex hematology/oncology patients, including administration of blood products, antibiotics, and management of symptoms and treatment side effects
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments, administer medications, and document accurately using EPIC
• Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and provide updates to patients and families
• Operate unit equipment including Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, and Zebra phones
• If trained and qualified, may be assigned to administer chemotherapy
• Float to other med-surg units and locations within the Fargo area as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center
• Active BLS certification – must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Active North Dakota RN license or compact state license (or willingness to obtain)
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates living between 60 and 80 miles may be subject to a local travel rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Inpatient oncology experience
• Hematology and/or bone marrow transplant (BMT) experience
