Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services across all areas of the hospital within scope of practice
- Float to all hospital departments as needed to meet facility needs, including Labor and Delivery
- Deliver critical care respiratory support in high-acuity patient settings
- Participate in holiday rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling
- During hurricane season (June–November), contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams as directed by the facility
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required — CRT not accepted
- South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (SC RCP) license must be active and in hand at time of start
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) certifications — all must be in hand at time of start
- Minimum 2 years of experience required; recent critical care experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system
- Experience floating across multiple hospital departments and acuity levels
- Familiarity with Labor and Delivery respiratory care protocols
