Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Fully execute patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within established policies, professional guidelines, and evidence-based practice
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Current BLS certification
• ADN or ASN degree (minimum)
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume cardiac cath lab setting strongly preferred
• Previous nursing experience in a specialty or procedural environment
