Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating cultural, age, and developmental considerations, risk factors, and presenting complaints
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team, applying all four phases of the nursing process
• Initiate and manage patient care therapies and procedures within RN scope of practice, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders and coordination with Case Management
• Provide patient and family-centered education, explaining procedures, treatments, and processes at an appropriate level of comprehension
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTIs, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
