Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 5x8 Hours (8:00–17:00) | Onsite | Some weekend shifts expected (approximately 1–2 per month) | Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment services within a pediatric inpatient and outpatient setting
- Deliver patient care in accordance with facility protocols using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients
- May be expected to float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities nearby to meet operational needs
- Complete required facility onboarding modules prior to start and annually as directed
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Physical Therapist (PT) License required (pending license accepted; license must be in hand prior to offer finalization — estimated processing time 10–12 weeks)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience; first-time travelers considered with at least 2 years of experience
- Pediatric physical therapy experience required
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during compliance process
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in an acute hospital environment
- Familiarity with Epic charting system
- Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
