Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a palliative care unit focused on symptom management for patients with serious illness, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue.
• Support patients still actively undergoing treatment by promoting comfort and improved quality of life.
• Float to other med/surg units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed to meet departmental staffing needs.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission).
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Willingness and ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity.
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references).
• Locals are welcome and accepted.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
• Med/surg background with interest in developing palliative care skills.
• Comfort working with high-acuity patient populations across multiple unit types.
