Contract | 13 or 26 Weeks | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays: Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit, including LDR rooms, OB Triage, antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
• Manage a dynamic patient census that may include inductions, high-risk antepartum patients, and third-trimester OB triage cases
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to like units within the hospital or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience preferred or training may be provided

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to offer)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
• 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required during compliance
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience in a Labor & Delivery or OB setting
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Familiarity with high-risk obstetric patient populations and antepartum care
