Key Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure or as warranted by patient condition, demonstrating the ability to make sound independent clinical decisions
• Initiate, prioritize, and implement individualized plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to revise plans as indicated
• Assist with and monitor patients undergoing procedures including left and right diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, Impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, tilt tables, and STEMI cases
• Operate common Cath Lab equipment including IV pumps, groin and radial sheaths, Impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, Zoll monitors, and hemodynamic systems
• Document patient responses to clinical interventions and facilitate patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor or preceptor; participate in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute care RN experience
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with Cath Lab-specific procedures including peripheral IV access and management of STEMI patients
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring systems and advanced cardiac support devices such as Impellas and intra-aortic balloon pumps
