Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating culture, age, developmental level, risk factors, and presenting complaint in accordance with RN scope of practice and facility policies
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Administer nursing procedures and therapies with clinical autonomy; recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of patient care activities performed by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) or higher
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an oncology or related inpatient setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• ONS Chemotherapy Administration Provider Card
