Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting during night shift hours
• Utilize infant-driven feeding protocols and apply Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification standards in daily practice
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Participate in weekend scheduling, including 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period, and work 2 of 3 designated winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Virginia RN license (must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal care standards
