Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in an intensive care unit setting
• Adhere to infant-driven feeding protocols, including Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification requirements
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Participate in weekend rotation — expected 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period
• Maintain availability for 2 out of 3 winter holidays as required by unit scheduling
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Virginia RN license (must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• Must not have exceeded 365 total assignment days at this facility; candidates who have reached this threshold are not eligible to return regardless of time away

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior NICU travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal care standards
