Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every other weekend coverage required (may vary based on facility need)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving an adult and geriatric population with conditions including respiratory diseases, infections, dementia, and neurological issues
• Utilize Omnicell medication system and document care using EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year of EPIC experience required)
• Float to Medical Surgical / Telemetry floors at other units or campuses as needed based on census; must hold MS/Tele competencies
• Complete and pass a required EKG exam prior to or at the start of assignment
• Complete all required pre-assignment modules and annual compliance requirements within designated timeframes
• Collaborate with charge RN and interdisciplinary team to support unit flow and patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license (or compact eligibility)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit; 2 years preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Must hold or be able to demonstrate MS/Tele competencies and pass an EKG exam
• Must reside more than 100 miles from all system facilities to be eligible at full consideration; applicants residing 90–99.9 miles may be considered with adjusted terms; under 90 miles is ineligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers may be considered based on overall experience
• Familiarity with geriatric patient populations and complex, multi-diagnosis care
