Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting, monitoring and supporting the health and development of neonatal patients
• Implement and document infant-driven feeding protocols in accordance with unit standards, including Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based neonatal nursing care
• Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally needed
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period and 2 of 3 designated winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or pending (must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding certification required (may be submitted with certification pending)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying patient volumes and float assignments within scope of practice
