Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Oncology)

Contract | Days or Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00–19:30 (Days) / 19:00–7:30 (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across the full spectrum of solid tumor oncology, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, as well as patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy
• Support patients from new diagnosis through active treatment and transition to end-of-life care
• Perform telemetry interpretation and monitoring as part of routine patient assessment
• Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
• Float to other Medical Surgical Oncology units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license — compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program required
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted)
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience preferred, though not required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
