Key Responsibilities

• Serve primarily in the Labor & Delivery unit, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, managing labor progression, and assisting with deliveries
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, applying strong clinical judgment and effective communication
• Administer medications, perform cervical exams within scope, interpret fetal monitoring strips, and prepare patients for operative deliveries
• Provide postpartum education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the birth experience
• Float to the Med Surg floor when the OB unit is closed

Required Qualifications

• Current Montana RN license (required)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in Labor & Delivery
• Ability and willingness to float to Med Surg when OB is closed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Med Surg setting in addition to Labor & Delivery
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient and family education in a postpartum setting
• Experience promoting positive birth outcomes for both mother and newborn
