Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors in accordance with RN scope of practice and department policies
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care in coordination with the patient, family, and inter-professional team
• Initiate and carry out nursing interventions, treatments, and procedures with clinical autonomy, and communicate changes in patient condition promptly and appropriately
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders and coordination with Case Management
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Participate actively in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and clinical applications
