Key Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures; position patients using appropriate positioning devices and protective equipment
- Perform all exams based on established imaging department protocols or in coordination with the Radiologist; assist with routine and interventional CT procedures
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate and label processed images, and transmit to the Image Archival System
- Demonstrate proficiency in IV placement and safe contrast administration, as well as radiographic procedures including X-ray, Fluoroscopy, C-arm, and OR work
- Maintain accurate patient records in the EHR, including procedure and supply charges, while adhering to strict patient confidentiality standards
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other modalities, adjusting schedules, and taking call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with Computed Tomography (CT) certification required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of start)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Two or more years of experience as a practicing CT Technologist
- Cross-training in additional modalities such as MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
- Experience with electronic health records, including PACS and RIS/HIS systems
