Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU/progressive care setting at an intermediate level of care, managing conditions including cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure, chest pain, AMI, sepsis, GI bleed, pneumonia, vascular/PVD, and ETOH withdrawal
• Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, and participation in Rapid Response Teams
• Manage IV therapy including central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, and non-titrated cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Provide respiratory support including management of chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of ABGs
• Perform wound care, surgical drain management, isolation precautions, feeding tube care, and pre/post hemodialysis management
• Fulfill charge RN assignments and holiday shifts as needed; regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required — active licensure in both Kansas and Missouri (or a compact license) is required at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — must hold both Kansas and Missouri licensure, or a compact license, at time of submission</strong>; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with community hospital experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac care, and the clinical skill areas outlined in the responsibilities above
• Charting experience; EPIC EMR used at this facility
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS and CPI certifications preferred
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Experience with sheath removal, port access, phlebotomy, and total joint replacement care
