Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized intermediate critical care for patients presenting with diagnoses including DKA, Sickle Cell, Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, and Stroke
• Perform IV starts, manage heparin protocols, PCA, and titration of cardiac drips
• Operate and monitor specialized equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and Optiflow
• Function as a Rapid Response RN as required by the unit
• Manage feeding tubes and utilize telemetry and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Float to Med/Surg as needed (1:6 ratio); maintain a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BCLS certification required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Med/Surg or Telemetry settings
• Ability to titrate vasoactive drips and care for ventilated patients
• Wound care and wound vac experience
• NIHSS certification
