Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | Rotating 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00–17:30 and 9:30–20:00); shifts rotate on a weekly basis with consistency maintained within each week. Shifts may extend until procedures are complete. On-call required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per 7 weeks, plus one call shift and one evening shift per week. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs. Holiday coverage required as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scrub and monitor roles in coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Support 4–5 active labs per day alongside a team of 2–3 cardiovascular technologists per lab, with a daily caseload of approximately 20–25 cases
- Participate in on-call rotation including weekend call and evening shifts as scheduled
- Maintain accurate procedural documentation using EPIC charting system
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols; a radiation badge must be supplied by the placing agency — the facility does not provide radiation badges to contract staff
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
- Active South Carolina SCRQSA license required</strong>; candidates with a pending license may be considered with proof of application or confirmation of eligibility for the SC walk-through process — clearance to work will not be granted until the license is active
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT or RCIS certification required (registered or in process)
- Proficiency in coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor techniques
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-volume cath lab environment
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
- Ability to adapt to rotating shift schedules while maintaining clinical performance
