Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | Expected 36 hours/week | Overtime may be available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment, including patients requiring ECMO, post-CABG care, and heart transplant support
• Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring and manage ventilated patients
• Conduct bedside shift reports with updates to the patient whiteboard at each transition of care
• Collaborate with intensivists on multiple procedures performed within the unit
• Float as needed to other ICUs based on volume and acuity; on rare occasions, may float to a PCU
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of ICU nursing experience
• Active Texas RN License required — temporary licenses will not be accepted
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience with hemodynamic monitoring and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with post-CABG patient care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system
• CVICU background strongly preferred given unit acuity and patient population
