Contract | Days | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in a high-acuity PICU setting
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition, implementing appropriate nursing interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required — 100% floating is expected of all travelers
• Fulfill holiday shift obligations, with an expectation to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• May assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license must be in hand prior to start date (temporary licenses may be considered once permanent license application has been submitted)
• All required certifications must be in hand prior to submission
• Minimum of 18 months of RN experience required
• Nursing degree from a university accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 supervisor references required
• Indiana residents are not accepted for this PICU position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience welcomed — first-time travelers are accepted
• Experience in a pediatric or pediatric critical care environment
• Familiarity with charge nurse responsibilities in a high-acuity setting
