Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Variable Start Times: 7:00 AM or 9:00 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care in an acute care hospital operating room setting
- Support trauma, neurological, vascular, and orthopedic surgical procedures
- Participate in an on-call rotation distributed equally among nursing staff, which may include up to 6–8 call shifts per 6-week period, including evenings, nights, and weekends
- Float between like units within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for all clinical documentation
- Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's) as required
Required Qualifications
- Active, valid California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic surgical specialties required
- Current BLS certification
- Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotation
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care OR environment
- Familiarity with scrub and circulator roles across multiple surgical specialties
- Flexibility to accommodate variable scheduling and block schedule requests per manager discretion
