Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical unit setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings for assigned patients
• Deliver specialized care to stroke and neurological patient populations
• Float to like units as needed, serving as first to float when required
• Participate in orientation period of approximately 24–32 hours upon start

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Stroke/Neurology nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must be presented at time of submittal
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – must be presented at time of submittal
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – must be presented at time of submittal
• Passing EKG test – must be completed and presented at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Stroke/Neurology nursing experience
• Prior experience floating to multiple units within a hospital environment
