Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on Stroke and Neurology patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform neurological assessments utilizing NIHSS protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to like units as needed, serving as first to float per unit policy
• Adhere to all clinical documentation, credentialing, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Stroke/Neurology experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — must be presented at time of submittal
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification — must be presented at time of submittal
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification — must be presented at time of submittal
• Passing EKG test — must be completed and presented at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Stroke/Neurology nursing experience
• Prior experience floating to similar medical-surgical or telemetry units
