Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in accordance with psychiatric nursing standards
- Monitor patient mental status, safety, and therapeutic progress throughout each shift
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, social workers, and therapists
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting accurately in the medical record
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients experiencing acute psychiatric conditions
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing, eligible to practice in North Carolina
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced inpatient environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
- Experience in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit at a large regional or referral hospital
- Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention protocols
