Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in accordance with psychiatric nursing standards
• Monitor patient mental status, safety, and therapeutic progress throughout each shift
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, social workers, and therapists
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting accurately in the medical record
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients experiencing acute psychiatric conditions

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing, eligible to practice in North Carolina
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced inpatient environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
• Experience in an acute inpatient psychiatric unit at a large regional or referral hospital
• Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention protocols
