Contract | 13-Week Assignment | 3x12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Primarily Nights; schedule may rotate every 4 weeks if day coverage is needed) | Every Other Weekend Required | 2 of 3 Major Holidays Required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit, including management of inductions, antepartum patients, and OB triage
• Deliver patient care across a unit that includes LDR rooms, OB triage rooms, OR suites, and PACU rooms, with average daily deliveries around 7 and census up to 14 patients
• Perform and support third-trimester fetal testing and triage assessments for incoming OB patients
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet staffing needs
• Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities or participate in charge nurse training as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers and declinations not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience or willingness to be trained in a charge nurse role
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Familiarity with high-risk OB patient populations including antepartum and triage settings
