Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Shift start times vary: 0645–1915 or 0900–2130 | Weekend availability required | On-call limited to coverage for call-offs only

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Operating Room setting within an acute care hospital environment
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing needs
• Participate in on-call coverage on a limited basis to address unplanned call-offs
• Work a minimum of 60 guaranteed hours per two-week pay period, with the possibility of one 12-hour shift call-off per two-week period
• Be available to work two out of three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of offer (pending license accepted for submission; must be obtained within 10–12 weeks)
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the last three years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred
• Prior experience with Epic charting system preferred
