Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (17:00–05:30) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients within a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio at an acute care hospital
- Deliver post-partum care in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
- Float between like units within the facility or to affiliate hospitals nearby as needed
- Complete required orientation (approximately 36 hours) and maintain compliance with annual facility modules
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in holiday coverage, working 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery and post-partum nursing experience (required; hard stop)
- Valid California RN license in hand at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
- Current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- Proficiency with Epic charting system
- Willingness to float to sister facilities nearby as assigned
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
