Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (schedule may vary based on case start times) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Perform circulating RN duties across surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery
- Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and available resources
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required — American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Operating Room or surgical nursing specialty
- Demonstrated experience circulating in surgical cases
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience circulating across multiple surgical specialties including ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, GYN, and Plastic Surgery
