Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM) | 40 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct psychiatric nursing care to child and adolescent patients in an inpatient setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient mental health status and treatment progress
- Administer medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for pediatric and adolescent psychiatric patients
Required Qualifications
- Active Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 0–1 year of nursing experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, evenings, and every other weekend minimum
Preferred Experience / Skills
- More than 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience, preferably with child and adolescent populations
- Availability to work every weekend or predominantly weekend shifts is highly preferred
