Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an orthopedic unit specializing in pre-operative and post-operative care for elective and trauma patients
• Care for patients undergoing total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs, as well as orthopedic trauma cases
• Operate and manage orthopedic equipment including CPM machines, knee immobilizers, bone foam, and safe patient handling equipment
• Utilize Rapid Response Teams as clinically indicated
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with potential stretch to 1:7
• Participate in one holiday shift and one evening shift during the holiday period as required

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Orthopedic and trauma nursing experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license required to confirm address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Experience with pre-operative and post-operative orthopedic patient populations
