Travel Paramedic – Night Shift

Contract | Travel | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 26-Week Assignment | Projected Start: May 25, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-hospital care across all levels of service including Wheelchair, Behavioral Health, BLS, ALS, and Critical Care transports
- Perform IV insertion and medication administration during patient transports
- Operate and utilize Zoll Cardiac Monitors and Baxter & Alaris IV Pumps as required
- Document patient care accurately using ESO electronic medical records system
- Float to Behavioral Health transport, wheelchair van, or BLS van based on staffing and scheduling needs
- Adhere to all unit guidelines, policies, dress code standards, and fulfill one scheduled weekend per month
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of full-time active pre-hospital care experience or equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Minimum of 2 years of satisfactory driving experience meeting established insurance guidelines
- Active North Carolina Paramedic Certification with current CE requirements maintained
- Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS, and BLS required
- Minimum 2+ years of overall paramedic experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Board certification with Buncombe County Medical Director
- Bachelor's degree in EMS
- National Registry Paramedic (NRP) certification
