Contract | 16-Week Assignment | 32 Hours per Week | 10-Hour Evening Shifts (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Rotation | Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a telemetry holding area within the emergency department for patients transitioning to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry floors
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKG readings for telemetry and stroke patients
• Care for a predominantly elderly population with complex cardiac, critical care, and medically challenging conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and timely patient throughput
• Float within the hospital as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Must successfully pass an EKG competency test prior to or upon start
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with stroke and telemetry patient populations
• Background in cardiology or cardiac-focused care settings
• Comfort working with critically ill and medically complex patients
