Contract | Rotating Shifts Available: Days (3x12, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Nights (3x12, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 21-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit serving a primarily orthopedic, trauma, and surgical patient population
• Care for patients recovering from traumatic and orthopedic injuries, general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and elective spine surgery procedures
• Monitor and maintain the hemodynamic stability of adult and geriatric patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required by facility protocol, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; South Carolina RN license required prior to start date (candidates with pending SC licensure may be considered with proof of application)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work rotating day and/or night 12-hour shifts including every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Proficiency or ability to learn EPIC electronic health records charting system
• Willingness to float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a medical-surgical, orthopedic, or post-surgical inpatient nursing setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, or Magnet-designated hospital environment
