Registered Nurse – CVICU (Travel Contract)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Rotating Weekends | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting, including post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-cardiac catheterization patients
• Manage and monitor hemodynamic devices including Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
• Perform ventilator management and respond to changes in patient respiratory status
• Support cardiovascular cases through training and utilization of CVICU-specific devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic health records system
• Float to other units as required per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines
• Ventilator management experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Exposure to Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Familiarity with Meditech charting and order entry
