Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• Scrub and/or circulate for cardiovascular surgical procedures?
• Maintain a 1:1–2 nurse-to-scrub ratio per room in a 10-bed surgical unit
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout all phases of the operative experience
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the unit schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular OR (CV OR) experience — required; candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Ability to scrub and/or circulate cardiovascular surgical cases
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as part of the assigned schedule

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or acute care cardiovascular surgical environment
• Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and equipment
