Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients on a Telemetry/IMC/MedSurg unit
• Care for a mixed-acuity patient population with diagnoses including respiratory conditions, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidities
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas or a valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Telemetry, IMC, or MedSurg nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Telemetry or IMC setting
• Experience managing patients with respiratory illness, sepsis, or complex multi-comorbidity presentations
