Registered Nurse – NICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 or 48 hours per week | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med-Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to neonatal and pediatric patient populations within scope of practice
• Adapt clinical practice to meet the needs of varied pediatric units as assigned per float pool policy
• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to all facility float pool policies and unit-specific protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
