Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week available | Every other weekend, every other holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including respiratory illnesses, renal illnesses, diabetes, sepsis, cellulitis, infections, heart failure, sickle cell, and cystic fibrosis
• Document all clinical assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within scope of practice as needed in accordance with facility float policy
• Participate in orientation modules, including specialty-specific training, during the onboarding period

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at submission
• Candidates must not have exceeded 365 total assignment days at this facility; a 1-year separation and leadership approval are required for prior permanent or internal travel staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with managing complex, multi-diagnosis patient populations
