Contract | 12-Week Assignment | Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week | 8-Hour Evening Shifts (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Rotation | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a holding area within the Emergency Department for patients transitioning to Medical/Surgical and Telemetry floors
• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry and stroke-level care in a cardiology-focused hospital environment
• Manage a medically complex and elderly patient population, including those requiring critical care interventions
• Administer and document care using the Epic electronic health records system
• Pass a required EKG competency test prior to or during orientation
• Float within the hospital as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse License required
• CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
• Ability to pass an EKG competency assessment
• No time-off requests accepted for blackout dates: all of August and most of July

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with stroke and telemetry patient populations
• Background in cardiology or cardiac-focused care settings
• Comfort working with elderly and medically complex patients
